Hola sweet tooth,

today I have a recipe for one of my favourite pastries: Nut buns 🙂 . And of course, as you know me, they are not made with normal butter. Cannabis butter they have that certain something. If you prefer poppy seeds, you can use them instead of the nuts or pimp everything with sultanas.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 250ml lukewarm milk
  • Cannabis snails160g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 800g flour
  • 120g soft Cannabis butter
  • 1 cube yeast

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 600g ground hazelnuts or poppy seeds
  • 200g sugar
  • 4 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • Cannabis snails4 eggs

Ingredients for the glaze:

  • 300g icing sugar
  • Lemon juice

Preparation:

Mix the yeast with the milk and 2 tsp of the sugar in a bowl and place in a warm place for 15 minutes. Then gradually add the eggs, the remaining sugar, the flour and the soft cannabis butter (let it soften at room temperature) and knead the dough well for 10 minutes. Cover the yeast dough in the bowl with a damp cloth and leave to rise in a warm place for one hour.

For the filling, mix the nuts or poppy seeds well with the sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs.

After resting, knead the dough again and roll it out on a floured surface. Spread the finished filling on the rolled out dough, form it into a roll and cut off pieces about 2cm wide. Place the cannabis buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper, flatten slightly and leave to rest for another 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 175°C and bake the snails on medium-high for approx. 15 min.

Mix the icing sugar with the lemon juice and coat the cold cannabis buns with it.

Add to that a delicious Coffee and the day starts more pleasantly 🙂
