Recipe for cannabis butter, cooking with cannabis

Here we would like to introduce you to a recipe for making cannabis butter. Growers in particular often have cuttings in the form of small buds or resinous leaves. A good way to process these is to make weed butter. Hemp butter is also irreplaceable when using cannabis as medicine. Many patients do not smoke and take marijuana orally. The butter is ideally suited for this.
During production, it is essential to ensure that there is a good exhaust (fume hood). During the simmering process, the mixture smells extremely strong and not all neighbours turn out to be tolerant.

  •  1/2 l water
  • 250 g butter
  • 75 g small buds / resinous leaves

Cannabis butter, cooking with cannabis

Heat the water and add the butter and buds. Simmer this water/weed/butter mixture for half an hour, or better an hour, on the lowest setting. Stir from time to time and add a little water if necessary, if the brew becomes too thick.

Then press the mixture through a linen cloth (tea towel) and catch the water-butter mixture in a bowl.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours (overnight is better). The cannabis butter will separate from the water and settle on the surface. If the bowl has been in the fridge long enough, you can carefully skim off the butter and store it in a Tupperware container in the fridge.

This highly potent cannabis butter can be used both as a spread and especially as an ingredient in many recipes.
