Brew cannabis beer yourself

how to make cannabis beer, beer from marijuana, cannabis recipes

Hola Amigos,

There are now several cannabis beers on the market. However, none of the beers contain the active ingredient I like and consequently they don't have the desired effect. So it's time for a home-brewed cannabis beer that is made with potent buds and therefore not only has the effects of alcohol. There are many different types of malt available for brewing, so you can use whatever you like best.

It isimportant to add the flowers during the boiling process, otherwise no THC will be extracted and the cannabis beer will not kick. There are countless recipes and variations for brewing cannabis beer, some of which are very complicated to implement or lack the desired effects, so we don't want to deprive you of our favourite cannabis beer recipe, because it's easy to make and really turns heads.

Ingredients:

  • 3kg (approx.2,5l) brewing malt (barley malt)
  • 1kg honey
  • 100g cannabis
  • 50g hops
  • 5g top-fermented yeast
  • 20l water
  • 250g brown sugar
Aids:

  • Large pot (30 litres)
  • Plastic bucket with lid (30 litres)
  • 40 beer bottles with swing stopper
  • alternatively 20 litre drum
  • Disinfectant

Preparation:
Cannabis beerFirst, 5 litres of water are brought to the boil in a large pot, the brewing malt and 70g of ground cannabis are added and this mixture is simmered on the lowest setting for about 10 minutes. Then the remaining water is added and the whole thing is heated until the malt-cannabis-water mixture is almost boiling. The pot is then removed from the cooker, the remaining 30g of cannabis and the hops are added and this brew is cooled to room temperature.

When the mixture has cooled down, it is poured into the clean plastic bucket (with lid) that has been sterilised with disinfectant and serves as the fermentation vat. To start fermentation, the top-fermenting yeast is sprinkled on the surface. The bucket is now lightly closed with the lid (do not close tightly, as fermentation gases are produced!) and set aside to ferment for 7-9 days.

Since the yeast fungi produce CO2 during their work, you can also place the fermentation vat in the grow room and treat your plants to an extra portion of it. (More on the topic CO2 during the grow).

After 7-9 days, the cannabis beer can be bottled. If you have an aerometer, you can also determine the alcohol content. This should be around 10%. Before bottling, the flower parts and the hops have to be removed. To do this, pour the beer through a fine sieve and then through a tea or coffee filter. Once the flower parts have been filtered out, the beer can be bottled or kegged. Then add one teaspoon of brown sugar per bottle (40 teaspoons in the barrel) and close the bottles. The beer must now be stored in a cool place for at least 4 weeks before it is ready to drink.

Those who start brewing their own cannabis beer now can enjoy their special Christmas beer just in time for Christmas.

Have fun with the afterbrew, but don't forget that alcohol and marijuana together can have a very violent effect.

See you the days, hasta luego
Yours Juan 😉

Hi, the recipe sounds really good 🙂 .
I have like 1,2 questions as I might want to try this 🙂 .
    1. does it smell very strong?
    2. at what point do I need the honey?
And I think 20L would be way too much to start with, so I would make less....
And how does the beer look when the fermentation is done? It would be stupid if it stands too long and everything is gone :/
