Flying Donuts

Flying Donuts

Hola friends of green cuisine,

Autumn is here, the abundant harvest has hopefully dried well, so it's time to get back to enjoying it. Today I have a recipe for flying donuts for you, donuts that not only taste good but also make you smile. But be careful, don't eat too much 😉 I'm not a dessert person!

flying donutsIngredients:

  • 3.5 cups flour
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 50ml condensed milk
  • 4g cannabis
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Cannabis butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Icing sugar, chocolate coating, sprinkles, ...

Put 50ml of condensed milk together with the finely ground cannabis in a small saucepan and heat on the cooker top over medium heat. Then turn down the heat and simmer gently at a low temperature for 20 minutes. The mixture must not get too hot or boil down (add some more condensed milk if needed). Then add 1.5 cups of whole milk and simmer for another 20 minutes at low temperature. Then strain the milk through a fine sieve / coffee filter to get out the solids and leave to cool.
In a bowl, mix together the cane sugar, the softened Cannabis butterIn a bowl, mix the cane sugar, the softened sugar, the eggs and the cooled milk with a hand mixer until well blended. In a second bowl, combine the flour with the baking powder, cinnamon and salt and slowly but steadily mix in the mixture from the first bowl until a dough forms.

Then roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 3/4 cm and cut out the donuts. The easiest way is to use a special donut mould, but you can also use two different sized glasses to cut out the rings.

Then fry the donuts in 190°C hot oil. As soon as they come to the surface, they are turned over once briefly with frying tongs and then taken out of the oil. After draining, decorate with icing sugar, chocolate coating and sprinkles or similar to your liking and enjoy the effect of the Flying Donuts.
