Aero Grow - an aeroponic system under the microscope

More and more growers are relying on growing with hydroponics. The most effective form of hydroponics is the AeroponicsHowever, many growers have refrained from using this method until now because the systems were expensive and complicated to maintain. In the meantime, however, there are affordable complete systems, so that nothing stands in the way of aeroponic cultivation. Today, we would like to introduce you to Aero Grow, a system that is very simple and still offers the advantages of aeroponic cultivation, as with other systems, no nozzles are necessary, which often clog and cause problems.

The Aero Grow System is available in different sizes, with 4, 8, 9 or 24 root spray pots. The pots can be replaced individually or the system can be removed at any time. The systems consist of a nutrient tank with cover, the root spray pots and the irrigation system with pump, the only thing you need to start is water and fertiliser.

The systems can be operated with all growing media. So you can fill the pots with soil and use the Aero Grow as a drip system, with Hydrocorrels it becomes a recirculating hydroponic system or you can use it completely without medium as an aeroponic system.

  • Data root spray pot: pot Ø 19 cm / 3 litre volume, lid Ø 19 cm, 4x insert Ø 13 cm

In each root spray pot there is an insert with several (individually adjustable) levels. Via the irrigation system, the plants receive the nutrient solution from above by means of a drip. The roots of the plants settle on the individual levels and become firmly anchored to them. They are ideally supplied with nutrients and fresh air (CO2 and O2) from above, thus ensuring strong root growth, which later increases yields. The lid is divided into 2 halves, so the root area can be easily covered and controlled. In addition, ventilation openings in the lid prevent rot and heat accumulation. During the first 2-3 weeks, the cuttings or young plants are permanently supplied with the nutrient solution. From the 4th week onwards, the watering should be operated at intervals via a timer. Water for 15 minutes at a time, 15 minutes break alternately. This ensures that the root zone receives enough nutrients and CO2 as well as oxygen.

Advantages of Aero Grow at a glance

- The system can be extended at any time
- Clean and quick repotting
- Compatible with most pre-installations
- More nutrient uptake and higher yields due to a larger root zone.
- Visible root chambers allow optimal control of the root zone
- Precise control of fertiliser components
- Economical as it can be used again and again
- Suitable for beginners and professionals
- Easy and quick installation
- Accelerates plant growth and root development
- No further maintenance necessary after installation
- No algae growth because all materials are opaque and UV-resistant
- made of resistant and robust plastic
- Prevention of root diseases
- Plants mature faster

-> Conclusion: A cheap and simple solution to realise an aeroponic system at home. Without much effort and extras.

Tips for growing with Aero Grow:

  • The pH value of the nutrient solution should be between 5.4 and 5.8
  • The optimal temperature of the nutrient solution is 20-22°C
  • use special fertiliser for recirculating systems, such as CANNA Aqua
  • Clean and flush the system with a chloride solution after each pass to prevent germs and fungi from settling in.

The Aero Grow Systems combine easy handling with the advantages of aeroponics. They can be used individually and are also Nutriculture Systems compatible. They are suitable for the novice grower as well as for the professional who wants to switch to aeroponic culture.
