Indoor or outdoor?

Outdoor Grow

An important decision before choosing the right seeds is where to grow them. Indoor or outdoor? It has to be said that both variants have their advantages, but of course also disadvantages. It is therefore important to think carefully about where you want to pursue your hobby.

Outdoor growing has two enormous advantages over indoor cultivation. Firstly, the amount of bud outdoors is much larger, as the plants themselves can grow larger and, above all, higher. Big dog equals big pile, big cannabis plant equals big buds or something like that. Of course, you also save a lot of money. Nothing is cheaper than sunlight, all the fans, etc. are also unnecessary. Nature is free, but it's far from free.

The huge disadvantage is that cannabis plants grown outdoors naturally like to be discovered. As already mentioned above, they become real monster plants in terms of size and also emit an extremely strong, beguiling scent that quickly invites uninvited guests. The cultivation of cannabis is still not allowed in many countries (we strongly advise against breaking the law and distance ourselves from this), but for medicinal purposes it is increasingly tolerated or even legalised. But even here one should be careful, opportunity makes thieves and some gardeners have already found only the stumps of their beloved ladies in the morning. It must also be remembered that plants, especially large ones, need a lot of water. A water source in the vicinity is therefore highly recommended.

indoor outdoorThese problems do not arise with indoor cultivation. A water pipe is usually in the next room, the smell is negligible due to the use of activated charcoal filters and the care is easier overall, as the plants are usually smaller than outdoors and are naturally more compact together. In addition, indoor plants resin more strongly and are generally more potent. However, as mentioned above, this is at the expense of the yield, which is much lower indoors. The biggest disadvantage of indoor growing is undoubtedly the high costs. It can easily add up to 20 kW/h per day, which pleases EnBW, Eon and the like, but hurts the wallet.

So the decision whether to go indoors or outdoors is not easy and needs to be considered carefully.
