As already mentioned in our Cannabis cultivation in small grow boxes - Minigrows we noted that indicas and indica-dominant hybrids are particularly suitable for growing cannabis in small spaces, as they grow much more compact and lower than sativas. However, automatics (autoflowering cannabis strains) have also become so stable and high-yielding that they are a very good choice in confined spaces. However, normal photoperiod strains and automatic strains should never be mixed, as they require different lighting times during the flowering phase. Automatics have the best yields at 18 hours of lighting time during both the vegetative and flowering phases. Photoperiodic strains grow at 18 hours of lighting per day and need a 12h / 12h rhythm during the flowering phase.
