What is Haze?
Haze is a cannabis strain that is very popular at the moment. However, on the street and even in coffee shops, you usually don't get real Haze under this name. The extremely long flowering time and the rather low yield make pure Haze strains quite unattractive for commercial cultivation. The term is also increasingly used for pure sativas.
What is Haze?
Haze wurde in den 1970er Jahren in Kalifornien gezüchtet. Sie ist ursprünglich eine reine Sativa mit Genen aus Kolumbien, Mexiko, Thailand und Südindien. Die ersten Haze Strains kamen Ende der 70er Jahre nach Europa und wurden auch hier recht schnell beliebt. Jedoch hat reines Haze einen enormen Nachteil: Wegen ihrer extrem langen Blütezeit von oftmals mehr als 100 Tagen können Haze‘ erst Mitte bis Ende November geerntet werden. Dies ist für die meisten Teile Europas zu spät, so dass sie nur für den äußersten Süden unseres Kontinents zu empfehlen sind und selbst dort kommt es häufig zu Ernteausfällen. Auch für den Growroom sind reine Haze-Sorten eher ungeeignet, auch hier macht sie die lange Blütezeit verbunden mit vergleichsweise mickrigen Erträgen bei den heutigen Energiekosten unlukrativ. Ein weiterer Nachteil des sehr langen Zykluses ist die damit verbundene Anfälligkeit gegen Schädlinge und Erkrankungen. Zwar sind Sativas im allgemeinen recht schimmelresistent, je älter eine Pflanze jedoch wird, desto leichter können sich v.a. Parasiten ausbreiten und Schaden anrichten.
Therefore, breeders quite quickly started to cross Indica genes into the pure Haze strains. This resulted in countless Haze hybrids, most of which offer the effects of the typical Haze, but have a shorter flowering time and higher yields than the pure varieties. Examples of this are e.g. Super Silver Haze, Skunk Haze or G13 Haze.
Haze strains are not very easy to grow, they don't forgive big temperature differences and also react quite easily to fluctuations in nutrient levels. Haze effect and aroma
Haze besitzt sehr viel THC und nur sehr wenig CBD. Es ist für seine psychedelischen und euphorisierenden, aktivierenden Effekte bekannt und berühmt, manche nennen es deshalb auch „Ampheta-Weed“.

When larger amounts of Haze are consumed, daydreams often arise, one begins to occupy oneself mentally with the most diverse things and gets a real creativity kick. Haze-grass has a strong psychedelic effect and expands the senses. Nevertheless, most Haze strains induce a pleasantly light relaxation that does not make you tired. Therefore, they are also suitable for use during the day.
The taste and smell of Haze is sweet, fruity, lemony and often contains an earthy note.

She is a cross of Jamaican Haze with a selected Afghani Hawaiian mix and several Southeast Asian strains. Super Silver Haze by Mr. Nice is a perfect mix of the famous Northern Light, an exceptional Haze and a Skunk. It has been winning many cannabis trophies since the 90's and is becoming more and more popular with cannabis lovers all over the world. Super Silver Haze by Mr. Sice is only available as regular seeds, from Green House there is also a feminised version.
