Indoor Grow Report: Pandora with 220W CFL

Pandora Paradise Seeds, Grow Report, Variety Report

She has been one of the most popular autoflowering cannabis strains since her release, delighting growers both outdoors and in the growroom. Her name refers to the Greek myth in which Zeus sent Pandora to earth with a box as a gift for mankind. From the box first came plagues and diseases that wreaked havoc. However, when Pandora opened the box a second time, this time it exuded hope and healing. This moved the owner of Paradise Seeds to name this extraordinary automatic after her, as she is supposed to bring "green hope" to the world.

And Pandora undoubtedly promises what the name suggests. She has a THC content of 15-18% and delivers outdoor harvests of up to 100g per plant within 10-11 weeks under optimal conditions. Indoors, with sufficient lighting, Pandora produces yields of 400-450g/m², which is on par with normal photoperiod strains. In the growroom, lit with sodium vapour lamps during the flowering phase, she only needs about 9 weeks to complete the full cycle.
Pandora consists of about 90% indicagenes and has about 10% sativa. Just enough ruderalis has been crossed into it for it to start flowering on its own, but its growth and also the size of about 90cm indoors and 120cm outdoors is that of a normal photoperiod indica. Her buds are elongated and hard with an enormous amount of resin. Because of its relatively few leaves in the buds, it is very quick to harvest, although it does take some time to get the resin off your fingers. Its effects are very relaxing and provide a pleasant but not too oppressive "stoned" sensation. It is therefore also very popular as medicinal cannabis.

Growreport: Pandora Testgrow under 220W fluorescent tube

For this grow, the Pandora was grown in a small Growbox with 60 x 60cm floor space with a 4x55W CFL fitting. This was used for the first 3 weeks with 3 grows and one flower tube and the rest of the grow with 3 flower and one grow tube. Due to the only low heat generation, the bulb could be positioned very close to the plants during the entire cycle. The plants were illuminated for 20 hours per day during the entire time.

The seeds germinated very quickly and the young cannabis plants were already looking out of the soil 3 days after germination. The plants were grown in Plagron's Light Mix and were given Power Roots for the first 3 weeks. One week after germination, fertilising with Plagron Terra Grow was carefully started. The growth was very fast and after 2 weeks the plants had already reached a height between 14 and 17 cm and had already developed strong side shoots. The leaves had an indicatypical rather broad shape and a dark green colour.

20 days after germination, the Pandora plants began to flower. The first signs of flowering were visible at the tips. 25 days after germination, we switched to Plagron Bloom. In the following 2 weeks they stretched enormously, so that after 36 days they were already between 48 and 59 cm tall, but still had a compact growth habit. The Pandora plants had many small flowers with resin crystals already clearly visible and exuded a sweet aroma.

After 52 days since germination, the plants have already developed neat, compact buds with relatively few leaves, the flowers have an elongated shape and one might suspect a higher sativa content in the Pandora, the resin production has increased greatly and the crystals are also very visible to the naked eye.

After 57 days, the fertiliser is discontinued and only watered. After 65 days the plants are in the middle of flowering, now a harvest is possible according to Paradise Seeds. Because of the relatively few coloured trichomes, Pandora Girl is allowed an extra week of flowering.

72 days after germination, the Pandora flowers have the optimal colouring and the plants are harvested. The plants had developed very resinous, thick headbuds and the side branches were also loaded with many hard flowers. The final height was between 71 and 79cm and after a gentle 3 week drying each plant yielded between 29 and 38g.
The weed gave off a sweet yet spicy aroma with hints of incense. Taste-wise, it had a very intense, sweet aroma with a slightly nutty finish.
