Life cycle of a cannabis plant

The cannabis plant has different needs at each stage:

1. germination (1-2 weeks)

Ripe and healthy seeds are brown, hard and dry. Germination is activated in a damp kitchen towel.

2. germling/seedling (2-3 weeks)

The germinated seeds are placed in a grow medium. The small plants now need especially much light and sufficient water. The plants are illuminated for 18-24 hours and need a humidity of 70% at a temperature of 20-25° C.

3rd growth phase (2-8 weeks)

The plants need air movement, air exchange, sufficient fertiliser for the growth phase (especially nitrogen) and a lot of light. The plants are illuminated for 18 hours and need a humidity of 50% at a temperature of 20-24° C.

4. flowering phase (6-8 weeks)

In this phase, the plants need more phosphorus and 12 hours of light per day. The humidity should be 40-50% and the temperature 20-28°C.

Harvest 5

The buds are trimmed and dried. The buds are ripe when the trichomes turn from milky white to amber. When 70-90% of the trichomes are amber, the maximum effect and the most intense flavour is reached.
