Compassion medical cannabis strain by Dutch Passion - Strain Review

Compassion Dutch Passion, medicinal cannabis strain, Seedshop

ComPassion is a Dutch strain that was developed by Dutch Passion with a lot of care and passion. It is a CBD-rich strain developed for both medical users and the recreational consumer. ComPassion has a THC:CBD ratio of 2:1 in the dried cannabis flowers. For many medical cannabis growers, the availability of CBD-rich strains is hugely important. According to new scientific findings, CBD has a pain-relieving effect and numerous other effective therapeutic effects. The increased CBD levels of ComPassion further enhance the effects of THC and the pain-relieving as well as antispasmodic properties. The THC and CBD ratio of this strain is tuned so that the two cannabinoids (CBD and THC) can ideally work together and enhance each other. ComPassion has an average THC level of 14.7% and a CBD level of 8.5% (and more).

  • 25% Indica, 75% Sativa
  • Flowering time: 8-9 weeks
  • Growing environment: Indoor and greenhouse
  • 100% feminised seeds
  • Yield: 450g/m²

While Dutch Passion also has cannabis strains with a 1:1 CBD-THC ratio, such as CBD Kush and CBD Skunk Haze, this strain has been created to bring a slightly higher THC experience and a pleasant relaxation that doesn't make you tired. The high is noticeable but not overwhelming. The combination of THC and CBD in this strain delivers a pleasant and cosy feeling with an energetic effect. ComPassion is used for chronic pain and spasms as well as MS.

ComPassion won the Highlife Cup Medical in 2014 for the 2:1 THC:. CBD ratio provides a stronger CBD experience than the 1:1 varieties.

Many recreational users are also now using CBD-rich strains (with low THC content) as a refreshing alternative and change from conventional cannabis strains. These are particularly suitable for use during the day when being fit and active is a priority. Compassion has a flowery and smooth taste.

An example of a ComPassion Indoor Grow:

  1. Germination and planting of ComPassion seeds in mid-February
  2. First of all, the plants are placed under a 125W fluorescent tube at a short distance from the light source.
  3. Around 15 March, the plants can now be sent into flower, they have developed a sufficient size. They come under a 400W NDL, pH from flowering is 6. The temperature is between 23°-25° C degrees. Cultivation area e.g. 1m x 1m and height 2m.
  4. As Fertiliser system is GHE Tripack recommended. The concept of a three-part fertiliser and Flora-Series was developed 25 years ago by General Hydroponics (GHE) by Dr Cal Herrmann. At the time, he was a water chemistry specialist at NASA, in collaboration with researchers at Davis University in California. Today, Dr. Herrmann is involved in the development of GHE products and leads the research team. The GHE Tripack Flora already contains everything that is needed.
    • Flora Bloom HW, 500 ml
    • Flora Grow HW , 500 ml
    • Flora Micro HW, 500 ml
    • 1 pH Test Kit
    • 1 bag pH Down Dry, 25 g
  5. After 6 weeks of flowering use a flower booster: e.g. Bio Boost from Canna or Plagron Green Sensation
  6. From around 8 May onwards, watering/rinsing will then only take place for 2 weeks.
  7. The harvest takes place at theend of May.

(all times are only rough indications. The actual development of the plant, its height, degree of ripeness etc. is always decisive).
