Fimming - pruning for advanced users

Fimming-Grow, GRow Tips, Cannabis Growing, FIM

Besides the normal pruning of the cannabis plant, the so-called topping, there is a second method that allows not only 2, but 4 new shoots. With so-called fimming, or FIM for short (the word comes from "Fuck I missed"), the entire shoot above a nodie is not cut, but only about 3/4 of the freshly growing shoot is pruned. The result is that the crown widens with many branches. Especially for a mother plant or for a ScrOG (Screen of Green), fimming is a great thing, because you get more new shoots than with normal pruning. Of course, you can fim the plants several times, which leads to real monster crowns. However, you should make sure that you use strains that react positively to fimming. Some strains do not react very well to the cutting of the shoots, resulting in gail growth and smaller harvests.

Cannabis plants can be fimmed as soon as they have more than 5 nodes. The best result is achieved when the plants are about 25-30 cm tall. At least 2 weeks before the flowering phase, you should prune your plant for the last time, so that the new shoots have enough time to form and produce large flowers.

Always use disinfected scissors or a scalpel for pruning. Scalpel scalpel.

After pruning, the plants should be given an anti-shock treatment with minerals and vitamins, such as Revive be treated.
