How to succeed: important growing tips

1.) Good ventilation

Use a suitable and good fan that is powerful enough for your growing area (see Ventilation). Air exchange is especially important for growing success!

2.) Air circulation

Use a fan in your grow room Fanfan in your grow room so that the air circulates and the leaves and stems are moved. This ensures strong and vigorous plants.

3.) Water properly

Not too much and not too little is the best motto when watering. The soil should not bake or be soaking wet. It is best to use rainwater or stale tap water. The greatest success is achieved by checking your water regularly with a pH meter.

4.) Plant nutrition

Use special fertiliser Use a special fertiliser that is adapted to the needs of cannabis. This is available for the growing phase and the flowering phase. In each stage, the plant needs the appropriate nutrients.

5.) good light

Use a Sodium vapour lampespecially during the flowering phase. This cannot be replaced by any other artificial light and is absolutely necessary so that the plants develop as desired. Sodium vapour lamps are available in 400W, 600W or 1000W depending on the growing area and the desired yield. In addition, use a reflector to ensure that the grow room is well lit.

6.) Temperature in the growroom

22°-24° is ideal. At 25° degrees, the essential oils start to evaporate. So it should not be too warm in the grow room, but also not colder than 22°.

7.) Humidity

40%-60% humidity is ideal. During growth rather more, during flowering rather less humidity because of the increased risk of mould in this phase.

8.) Cannabis soil

Use special Cannabis soil. This is adapted to the cannabis plant in terms of both composition and pH value. Special soil is also free of pests and vermin. This saves you a lot of trouble. Alternatively, you can use branded plant soil from the garden centre, e.g. Composana.

9.) Use of activated carbon filter

A Activated carbon filter should be used to prevent unwanted odours. It is used during the growing, flowering and harvesting or drying phases. The activated carbon filter is installed before the fan and removes all odours from the exhaust air.

10) High quality and fresh seeds

11.) Cleanliness in the growroom

Pay attention to cleanliness in the grow room: do not enter with dirty shoes, always remove old plant parts, leaves etc. immediately. Clean the grow room completely 1-2 times a week. A mopable floor is best. Do not reuse soil! Clean planters well before use. Keep all tools clean.

12.) Patience

Patience is very important. Everything needs its time. Harvest only when the plant is really ripe!
