Panama Red comes from the Central American country that is world famous for its canal. In the 1960s, however, it was also this landrace strain, notorious for its high THC content, that took its unstoppable triumphant march in the USA. Due to the more lucrative cocaine trade, this red-flowering sativa fell into oblivion, but among cannabis lovers worldwide it has remained a highly prized, rarely available strain.

Panama Red can be grown very well in the growroom, but develops its full potential when grown organically outdoors. She flowers relatively short for a sativa from near the equator, 10-12 weeks, and can be harvested in mid-October when grown outdoors. When growing indoorgrow, one should pay attention to a high humidity and feed her moderately with nutrients. Panama Red produces beautiful, dark red flowers and yields 550-600g per m². In the greenhouse or for outdoor growing, even 750g per plant can be achieved.

Panama Red has a lemony, spicy aroma, but some phenotypes are sweeter and reminiscent of strawberries. Its effect is very strong and long-lasting. The effects are psychedelic and energetic with a slight physical note.
