The flowers develop steadily and become larger and denser. After about 5-6 weeks, the first white hairs start to turn brownish. The flower slowly becomes ripe. From now on and until harvest, the flowers are very susceptible to bud rot. Therefore, the humidity should be kept below 40% and a swivel fan should be directed towards the buds that they are well ventilated. The buds become increasingly dense, compact and resinous. The number of protruding white hairs has grown steadily. There are special flowering boosters for fertilising (e.g. Cannaboost or BioBudFlower Stimulator), which can be used as desired in this phase to supply the plant with more phosphorus and other nutrients.

Last Flowering & Maturity

5-10 days before harvesting, water and rinse the plant pot with clear water or with a cleaning solution to remove fertiliser residues in leaves and the flower. Excess water should come out of the holes at the bottom. The plants should only be watered with clear water in the last 7-14 days before harvest. Special cleaning solutions, such as Canna Flush, remove fertiliser residues faster and are used in the last days before harvest.

2 days before harvesting, the light can be left out completely. The lack of light stimulates the plant to produce more flowers and resin. Many growers report positive experiences with this. Do not water the plants for 2 days before harvest. Of course, you should keep the fan and the activated carbon filter running, if only because of the odour.
