Reverse osmosis system Aqualight Picobello

In many regions, tap water is not of good quality. This can make plant cultivation difficult in various ways. For this reason, professional horticulturists use osmosis systems to prepare the water for watering. These are fine water filters that remove 95% of the dissolved substances from the water so that precise fertilisation is possible. In contrast to conventional filter systems, the osmosis membrane only needs to be changed every 2 to 8 years if it is properly maintained. It has proven to be optimal to mix the filtered water again with approx. 50% tap water. Humidifiers and other devices that are threatened by calcification can also be operated with osmosis water. For mixing with insect repellents, soft water is needed, as it is produced during osmosis filtration. Osmosis systems need a pressure of at least 4 bar to operate. They are therefore connected directly to the water pipe or operated with a high-pressure pump.

• Activated carbon filter - reduces chlorine and organic contaminants and neutralises odour- and taste-changing substances in the water.
• Sediment filter - removes dirt, rust and other coarse impurities
