For decades, the common MH and HPS bulbs have been the standard for many growers. Technology has advanced in recent years and many new options are now available for indoor growers. Sun Systems has been developing Light Emitting Ceramic lamps for years, which offer some unique advantages. LECs run cooler, use fewer watts and provide the full spectrum of light. As a result, many growers are excited about the performance, cost savings and longevity of the new bulb.

The Sun System LEC is excellent for grow tents and small grow rooms as well as large, commercial installations.

Ceramic discharge metal halides produce intense light at about half the wattage of conventional MH or HPS lamps. The same surface area can therefore be illuminated with considerably less wattage. Because of the Sun System LEC's lower heat generation, the light can be brought closer to the plants, resulting in faster plant development and greater yields.

Sun System LEC uses the latest light emitting technology. The lamp system is equipped with a high-quality 98% reflective aluminium insert, which ensures an even distribution of light. Higher amounts of positive UV and red spectra are generated, which in turn leads to increased plant vigour and yields. The photosynthetic photon flux (1.55 PPF) per second is very high. The Sun System® LEC® 315 Watt only needs to be plugged in, without tedious wiring (Plug & Grow).
