It was bred in the USA in the 1970s and is a cross between Colombian, Mexican, Thai and Jamaican with Northern Light and Skunk.

Haze strains usually have a longer flowering time than other cannabis plants, but the Shining Silver Haze does not flower for more than 8-9 weeks (most other Haze strains need 14 weeks), grows only about 1m tall indoors and yields up to 650g per m² as ScroG (Screen of Green). Outdoors, it yields the same amount, but per plant. It can reach heights of up to 2.5m and is ready for the shears at the end of October.

Haze species are known for their high quality and are therefore often used for medicinal purposes. The Shining Silver Haze has not only maintained the high quality of its Haze heritage but even surpassed it. The effect is heavy and stoned and is ideal for treating sleep disorders and chronic pain. It has a pleasant sweet aroma and a very sweet and strong flavour that underlines its potent effect.
