Purple Bud Auto produces most of its yield on the main stem and in the upper branches. Pruning or topping does not have a beneficial effect on this autoflowering variety, similar to many other autoflowering varieties. The flowering period is simply too short for this.

The variety needs 13-14 weeks from germination to harvest. The last 8-10 weeks are the flowering time. After 4-6 weeks of vegetative growth, it automatically starts flowering, regardless of the exposure time. Adult plants reach a height of 90-140 cm and often bend under the heavy weight of their resin-rich purple flowers.

Purple Bud Automatic produces many shades apart from green. Leaves can turn a dark blue-green to lavender via purple, burgundy and dark red. Cooler temperatures can further enhance the colour effects.
