Northern Light by Royal Queen: a classic with great power and enormous impact

Northern Light

Northern Lights was developed in the USA in the late seventies and came to Holland in the eighties. Northern Light is partly descended from Afghani Indica, which is noticeable in its characteristics. It is not a very big plant, but produces large amounts of THC. It was originally developed for indoor grows, but can also be grown outdoors. Northern Lights has won numerous awards and prizes in the past and is one of the most popular strains in Dutch coffeeshops.

This legendary strain has a sweet taste and is Indica dominant, which is why it produces a heavy and long-lasting high. It makes you relax and forget the stress of the day. Northern Lights grows 100-120cm indoors and reaches up to 2m outdoors. Her short flowering time of 8 weeks makes her an excellent choice for hobby growers and commercial growers. Indoors she produces high yields of 500g per m² (outdoor: 50-60g/plant) of the best marijuana.

She produces relatively wide internode spacing with long slender leaves, showing her sativa heritage. When flowering, her Afghani roots come out with countless dense and resin-covered buds. She forms a powerful headbud. A true coffee shop classic.

Northern Lights is one of those strains that provides a knock out effect when smoked and guarantees a couch lock session for a few minutes. The Afghan heritage shows strongly when smoked and anyone looking for such an intense stone has found the right strain in Northern Lights.
