Mabo fire extinguisher

The mabo from Flamark has been developed over many years and offers excellent security even in larger rooms.

Within seconds, fires are effectively extinguished without causing major damage to the facility.

The mabo is a high-quality fire extinguishing agent based on a unique, non-hazardous liquid, which triggers itself at 84 °C and extinguishes the fire within a few seconds.

Due to its high effectiveness, the small amount of 580 ml of liquid is sufficient to completely extinguish the fire. Immediately after the fire starts, the mabo liquid expands by increasing the temperature in the ampoule. When the temperature of 84 °C is reached, the container bursts, spreading the liquid over the source of the fire and extinguishing the fire in a few seconds.

Impact on electrical equipment

The mabo solution is dispersed like mist, there is no risk of electric shock or short circuit.

Designed for the following fire classes

Class A: Fire flammable solids such as wood, cloth, rubber, paper and some types of plastic.

Class B: Fire of flammable liquids such as petrol, oil, etc.).

Class F: Fire caused by boiling/burning oils and fats.

Automatic activation mechanism

1. The heated mabo liquid produces gases inside the ampoule through thermal decomposition.
2. When a temperature of 84 °C is reached, the gases have built up so much pressure in the ampoule that it bursts.
3. The solution of the ampoule is scattered over the burning surface.

The following effects occur during the extinguishing process:

• The heated mabo liquid produces gases through thermal decomposition. The strong cooling effect of the gases helps to lower the temperature below the ignition temperature The non-flammable gases, produced by thermal decomposition, remove the oxygen from the fire. (Replaces the air with large amounts of water vapour).
• The gas in the thermal decomposition has a negative catalytic reaction and prevents a chain reaction.

Evaporation control

The water membranes produced by the foam spread quickly over the surface and control the evaporation of the combustion gases through the cooling and fire-smothering effect.

Fire retardant effect

The mabo forms a glass-like coating on the surface of burning materials, thus preventing the transfer of radiant heat and creating a temperature reduction. Afterburning is thus prevented.

During prolonged storage, a certain crystallisation may form in the liquid, but this has no influence on the effect. This is not a quality defect. mabo is tested and classified according to the European standard 67/548/EEC as an environmentally friendly product that is safe for humans and animals.
