She is a unique cannabis strain! Granddaddy Purple or GDP for short gets very hard, thick buds with a stunning, almost fake appearing colour scheme and a distinctive taste and smell. This along with her incredible potency is what makes her unique. Ken Estes created this famous Indica in 2003 by crossing a Purple Urkle with a Big Bud. This gave her the complex grape and berry aroma of the Purple Urkle and the huge, compact flower structure of the Big Bud. The GDP flowers with dark shades of purple, which creates a contrasting background for the resin crystals that look like snow.

Granddaddy Purple needs about 60 days of flowering time indoors, when grown outdoors she is ready for harvest at the beginning of October. Her yields are in the XXL range with 600-800g per m² indoors and the same amount outdoors per plant. She reacts very positively to topping and LST and is best grown as SoG (Sea of Green). She is resistant to parasites and needs a good amount of nutrients to reach her full potential.

Granddaddy Purple has a very fruity aroma, reminiscent of ripe mangoes. Its very potent effects take over both the mind and the body.
