PH-Down lowers the pH value of the nutrient solution or watering water. It allows an optimal adjustment and stabilisation of the pH value, even with fast-growing plants. pH-Down is not just a simple acid, it is rather a balanced mixture of acids and biological buffer substances that stabilise the pH value in the long term and regulate the calcium content at the same time. This is especially important in hard water. For best results, look for a pH value between 5.5 and 6.5. The additive is highly concentrated.

Phosphoric and nitric acid take over the main task of regulating the pH value at the beginning in pH-Down by Terra Aquatica. Their ratio is adjusted so that it has no influence on the N/K ratio in the growing and flowering phase and no residues form on the tank surface, which happens with phosphoric acid alone in hard water. Then biological citric acid takes over the rest of the job. Thanks to its buffering effect, it compensates for pH fluctuations that occur in the further course, keeps the nutrient solution stable and compensates for calcium surpluses in areas with hard water.

Application:

• pH value correction: Add the required amount to the water or nutrient solution. Measure the pH value again and correct if necessary.
