The asterisks for the GHE BioFiltre consist of a porous substrate with tiny channels that allow oxygen, water and suspended particles to circulate freely, providing their hosts with the environment they need for healthy development.
- min. 7 asterisks are needed to SubCulture provide an adequate base where it can thrive and multiply.
- They are self-cleaning as the dead particles can be easily rinsed out, thus always providing a clean and healthy environment. So they do not require any special care, but you can rinse them occasionally and it is recommended to replace half of them every 4 to 6 months.
- The black colour prevents algae formation.
