Coriander is an aromatic spice, at the same time a medicinal plant and a typical Companion Plant. The intense scent of the plants attracts useful insects and encourages them to settle in the garden. To keep fresh and new green, coriander can be sown again and again. The plants grow quickly and can be harvested quickly. For pest control in autumn, it is sown again.
In many Asian dishes, the young fresh leaves of the plant are used and give dishes their typical flavour. The dried fruits can also be used for seasoning.
