The Guardian Monitor from Bluelab monitors your plants 24 hours a day. The measuring device integrates everything that is needed for successful plant cultivation. Bluelab Guardian reliably measures the EC value, pH value and temperature of your nutrient solution via two probes that simply hang in the water. One pH probe and one for the EC value and temperature. All three parameters can be read at a glance on the large screen. The buttons each have two functions that are used by pressing them briefly or for a long time. The unit must be calibrated before first use.
Bluelab Guardian Monitor has an alarm function and a flashing indicator informs you when a parameter changes. The Combi meter can be used anytime and anywhere. The pH calibration is very easy and fast due to the simple two-point calibration. Temperature and EC do not need to be calibrated with this unit. The pH probe can be easily replaced as needed. Always keep the pH probe moist to avoid permanent damage and to increase its lifetime.

The pH value is of considerable importance in the cultivation of plants. It indicates the acidity of substrates, irrigation water and nutrient solutions. Overall, the pH value can be between 0 and 14. In strongly acidic or alkaline media, plants can no longer absorb certain nutrients. In addition, some nutrients can be released in large quantities under the conditions, so that they then also have a damaging effect.
Conductivity (EC value) is a relevant parameter in plant cultivation. It is the ability of a medium to conduct an electric current. It can be used to measure the fertiliser content in the nutrient solution.
