The Aurora lamp from Lumatek is a CMH (Ceramic Metal Halide or LEC) luminaire with a controllable electronic ballast and a compact hammer-head reflector and 315W CMH lamp. The ballast is dimmable and uses square wave technology to efficiently ignite and operate 315W ceramic metal halide lamps (also known as CMH / CDM / LEC). For safety reasons, this ballast uses full circuit protection, including protection against open circuit / short circuit, over temperature, over / low voltage, end of lamp life / rectification and EMI suppression. The ballast has an LED indicator.

Aurora's 315W CMH pulse start lamp is specifically designed for use with the Lumatek 315-W-CMH electronic ballast and is manufactured with high quality ceramic arc tube technology and a special gas mixture that produces optimum spectral output for healthy plant growth. CMH technology produces high-energy PAR / PPF levels with low heat generation across the spectrum that are closer to sunlight and produce healthier plant growth and higher yields. With a CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of> 90%, CMH is perfect for growing crops and plants for essential oil extraction. The Aurora comes with a Lumatek 315W - 3100K Agro ceramic metal halide lamp, which is also available in 4200K Daylight Spectrum format.

The PCA ceramic arc tube allows the lamp to operate at higher internal temperatures, increasing colour rendering, output and efficiency. PCA resists interaction with the chemicals in the lamp, stabilising the chemical mix over the life of the lamp, which in turn improves colour consistency and maintenance of PAR / PPF levels. Pulse start technology makes for faster start and re-ignition time, longer lamp life and higher lumen maintenance.
