Companion Plants by 1000Seeds: Chamomile Seeds
The flowers of chamomile are often used as a tea or for various medicinal purposes due to their digestive, antiseptic and stimulating effects.
Chamomile accumulates calcium, potassium and sulphur to be returned to the soil later. It helps increase resin production and strengthens the plants around it. It repels flies and mosquitoes and attracts beneficial beetles and bees.
The camomile plants are not very demanding and love a sunny spot. It thrives in different soils, needs very little fertiliser and does not like waterlogging.
- Seeds sufficient for at least 2 m² (approx. 2000 seeds)
- Sowing in spring directly into the open ground at a distance of 15-20 cm
- Plant height: 20-40 cm
- Do not cover seeds -> light germination!
