Companion Plants by 1000Seeds White Mustard Seeds
White mustard is used, among other things, in the establishment of cultivated areas. The plants like humus-rich soil and can be sown from March to September. White mustard is an important ground cover that serves as a living mulch layer and retains nutrients in the soil. It provides a loose and humusy soil and allows your cannabis plants to thrive. The seeds are used to make yellow mustard and young leaves can be added to salads.
As a green manure, mustard works in early autumn or spring to help prevent diseases and pests in the soil. This is done through a process known as "biofumigation", where pungent glucosinolates are released from the mustard plant when it is hoed under into the soil.
